That person was me that did the Be seeing you peepy eye! Glad I brightened your day!
So the secret is out then, bloggers love cake! oh dear! There was sooo much of it! mmmm x

    Joanne Mallon

oh thank you so much! That really made my day.

Yes there was a lot of cake wasn't there? And ice cream. I am going to be hunting down more of those new Ben & Jerry's flavours.

    Andrea Wren

Gosh, really made me laugh when you say how you realised you'd dressed in the same clothes as your blog picture!

I'm also on Typepad - so I feel reassured to read what BlogCamp taught you about it. When I was a travel bloggers' conference recently, almost every person there used Wordpress.

Anyhow, I've registered for the Manchester event and fingers crossed I get onto it, really sounds exciting.

    Joanne Mallon

Yes I did feel a bit stupid, but then if it raises a laugh it's worth it.

You must let us know how you get on Andrea. I learned something from every speaker, met tons of nice people and had some good cake, so all in all a day well spent.

"Capitalise Your Words" <-- i am not sure i'd agree with that. for me, caps letters still mean shouting for me, and i am less likely to read, act upon, retweet or anything.
other than that, thank you so much for sharing your notes from the day. super useful!!!

    Jacq

Thats a great round up of the day. My round up was much more self centred!

    Joanne Mallon

@liloo - It's an interesting point, we've just been talking about this on MediaWomenUK. Apparently if you use caps in your tweet (but not your headline)then you do get a lot more clickthroughs, though some of them may be from people who found it annoying. And just to be clear I mean Capitalising Words rather than ALL CAPITALS which I agree is too shouty and offputting.

@Jacq I would love to read your roundup, please leave a link!

    CherishedByMe

Haha, great round up. I was being mean and saving all those secrets up. ;)

    Joanne Mallon

@Jacq Jeez what a day you had!

@CherishedbyMe You can't keep a good secret down. Plus there's more that I didn't have room for here

    Kathy Lawrence

Brilliant. Thank you. Just the sort of tips I've been looking for.

    United Gold Direct

Good info over again! I am looking forward for more updates;)

    Joanne Mallon

@Kathy - thanks for your comment, glad to hear you found it useful

    @United - Thank you!

    Helen @ Regards Rainbow

Oh my god - I thought I was the only one mesmerisd by her arm muscles!!

    Joanne Mallon

But we were mesmerised in a good way so I think that's allowed.
