I had that request! Honestly it is not because my boy is obsessed with chips that I want to get into details in my blog. I think you are very right when you say they should be more careful or it will backfire big time. I personally don't mind the odd review, as long as it fits in my blog and it is something I am interested in.
Good post!

Cheers hm. I think you should do it, with a note at the bottom saying "This post has been sponsored by some chips"

I'm holding out till I get sponsored by cake

Liz

Yes I've been offered the chips, and not even in butty form.

amy

no chips for me but i like to do the odd review on good quality products that fit in with my blog. But if i ever get approached to do a review on starbucks then maybe i might have to give in!

Joanne Mallon

@Liz Oh dear, didn't you got the incontinence stuff too? It's not your week. I just got my second approach about contraception, so I am taking it that the PRs think I am super sexy. They are so wrong.

@amy I think that's a good attitude. Do chips fit your blog BTW? I can hook you up if so.

Tara@Sticky Fingers

For me just about the worst thing they can possibly do is put in their subject line: Love your blog.
After throwing up I instantly hit delete without even reading what they're offering.
I don't know why but I think to myself 'do they really think I'm that shallow. Or thick?'

A Modern Mother

At least they offered something! (unlike many of the other PR offers out there). What I have an issue with is big company sponsored sites asking mummy bloggers to write for free. Now that really annoys me ;-)
