I Could Tell You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You

Well, I had intended to bring you a full report from last night's Women in Journalism seminar, where some of the UK's Top Banana Editors were sharing the secrets of their top banananess.  But Chatham House Rules were invoked, meaning that I can report what was said, but not who said it.

So alas I cannot reveal

  • Which editor invented the genius Boring/Not Boring filing system
  • Who does twice as much work by having an interchangeable twin
  • Who only got her current job because 4 others had already turned it down
  • Who feels that keeping schtum about your age is essential for editorial success
  • Exactly what was in that funny bread?

Honestly, you shoulda been there.

*What is it with WiJ and the odd bread?  That's the second time I've left a meeting armed with some sort of lady-specific loaf.  They don't warn you about that when you sign the membership form.
